Burchda R8V Electric Bike
The Burchda R8V is a powerful and versatile foldable fat-tire electric bike designed for city commuting, leisure rides, and mixed-terrain adventures. With its step-through frame, compact folding design, wide 20-inch tyres, and strong electric drivetrain, the R8V combines everyday practicality with the capability to handle a variety of riding conditions.
At the heart of the R8V is a 1000W peak brushless geared motor delivering up to 80 Nm of torque. This provides strong acceleration and ample power for inclines and challenging surfaces. The manufacturer lists a maximum speed of 40 km/h, while the actual permitted speed and configuration should be adapted to local regulations. With pedal, pedal-assist, throttle, and cruise-control functions, riders can choose the assistance level that best suits their journey.
Power comes from a 48V 20Ah removable lithium battery using 21700 cells. The manufacturer states a range of up to 60 km in pure electric mode, although actual riding distance varies according to rider weight, speed, terrain, temperature, wind, tyre pressure, and riding mode. The removable battery makes charging more convenient, particularly for riders who cannot store the entire bike close to a power outlet.
The R8V is equipped with 20 x 4.0-inch fat tyres that provide a broad contact area for improved grip and stability on uneven roads, gravel, sand, and other challenging surfaces. Its suspension system helps absorb bumps and vibrations for a more comfortable ride. Hydraulic disc brakes with brake power cut-off provide controlled braking performance, while the Shimano 7-speed transmission gives riders additional flexibility when tackling different gradients and riding conditions.
For convenience and visibility, the R8V features a colour smart display that allows riders to monitor important riding information such as speed, battery status, and mileage. Integrated lighting helps improve visibility in low-light conditions. The bike also comes with practical accessories including front and rear fenders, a rear rack, front basket, phone holder, air pump, lock, charger, and tool kit, depending on the supplied configuration.
The foldable frame allows the R8V to be stored more easily in a car trunk, garage, apartment, or other limited spaces. Its step-through design also makes mounting and dismounting more convenient for everyday use. The aluminium-alloy frame supports a listed payload capacity of up to 180 kg, while the bike weighs approximately 34 kg with the battery.
